Because a photo is worth 1000 words he should reconsider the way we photograph our work. It is after all the "thing" that makes customers buy your product. And what happens if we have poor quality pictures, crowded backgrounds or unrepresentative pictures? They will buy from the competition:(...and we don't want that to happen!
So here are a few things to consider before jumping to photos:)...
- Focus on the item (you don't want a blurry image)
- Keep the background simple (you want your item to be the centre of attention)
- Don't put text or bling-blings on the photo (let it speak for itself)
- Use a white background
- Use live models when possible (people prefer to see the items on a person rather than on a plastic dummy)
- Take photos from different angles
- Use natural light and plenty of it
- Focus on details
See? Not that hard ...and it really works!!!
